Our dancers learn the traditional dance steps of Scotland and Ireland in a fun and supportive environment. Dancers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to achieve their personal goals. Dancers are prepared for public performance, competitions and examinations.
Classes are offered for boys and girls aged 4 years to adult, from absolute beginners to championship standard. Dancers are prepared for public performance and competitions.
Highland Dance
Dalriada Highland Dancers are trained using the technique of the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (SOBHD). Scottish Dancing Association of Australia (SDAA) exams are offered annually.
Irish Dance
Dalriada Irish Dancers are registered with An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha (CLRG) and are prepared for public performance and competitions. CLRG grade exams are offered annually.
Our studio takes its name from an ancient kingdom that spanned parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland called Dalriada. In the 5th century AD, Dalriada covered the area from County Antrim in Northern Ireland to the Inner Hebrides and Argyll in Scotland.
